The Mipri Haye Scholarship Fund Board of Directors is pleased to announce its award of the scholarship to two dynamic young women.

Burlington Township High School
Elise Crenshaw graduated from Burlington Township High School. She started Girl Scouting I. Kindergarten and remained a member of the Girl Scouts organization until she graduated in May 2023. As a Girl Scout, Elise participated in STEM, government, sports, entertainment, environmental, healthcare, nature, cuisine, and self-care workshops, trips, and presentations which helped prepare her for life post-graduation. She also earned both the Silver and Gold Awards and served as Secretary of her troop.
She also actively participated in other activities both in and out of school including serving as President of Leaders of Tomorrow, Secretary of Future Business Leaders of America, a Peer Leader, and member of the NJ orators, Youth Club of Burlington County, and Girls Leadership Council of the Alice Paul Institute.
Elise also has an extensive record of community service including volunteering for the South Jersey Food Pantry and the Christ Baptist Church soup kitchen. Despite all these activities Elise found time to work part-time at the Regal Cinema, excelled academically earned membership in the National Honors Society, and graduated with a 3.94 cumulative GPA. She will attend Penn State University and major in Business Management.

Jordan Spanier was a Girl Scout for 13 years until she graduated from Burlington Township High School. Throughout the years she has participated in numerous activities but she attributes Girl Scouting to her success as it helped give her the confidence to be a good leader, and taught her the importance of helping others and being a sister to all. As a Girl Scout, Jordan earned the Bronze and Silver Awards.
Her community service projects included organizing a clothing drive for the local food pantry, making Chemo kits” for patients receiving chemotherapy, helping at Halloween Trunk or Treats, hosting a feminine hygiene products drive and a food drive, visiting local nursing homes to play games, make crafts or sing songs, and planting a Positivity Garden with different inspirational messages. Jordan was a volunteer worker at her church’s Vacation Bible School and a server at Villa Rosa restaurant.
Academically, Jordan has excelled with a 4.07 GPA and is a member of the National Honor Society. During high school, she served as a manager for both the football and basketball teams. She was Captain of Black and Gold Night and the first runner-up on the 2022 Homecoming Court
Jordan will attend Rowan College at Burlington County for 2 years then Rowan University in Glassboro with the hopes of earning a bachelor's degree so that she can become an early education teacher.
